Video storytelling is a skill I’ve intentionally focused on developing as video trends and audience expectations have evolved throughout my career. During my time with Kansas Corn, I’ve planned and managed a professional video series, collaborating with board members and a professional videographer to tell the story of Kansas corn from planting to harvest and beyond. I’ve also built experience creating quick-turn social media videos using footage I’ve captured in the field, while coaching colleagues on how to gather strong video content during their travels. With platforms like TikTok and Reels shaping how audiences consume video, I’ve embraced the challenge of creating content that resonates with a wide range of viewers, from consumers and farmers to international grain buyers, while keeping messaging clear, engaging, and adaptable across platforms.
